Our FIELD Turf is managed and grown on our own fields, enabling us to control every process from seeding right through to delivery to your door.
This is a more expensive turf due to the harvesting process. FIELD turf is a robust turf against foot traffic and especially animal urine.
FIELD Turf is only cut to order, so good planning is essential. Turf needs to be laid as soon as possible after it is harvested, this means within 20 to 24hrs.
It is vital to remember that turf is a natural living product so without sunlight and without being laid and watered, it will start to deteriorate.
It may come as a surprise to learn that turf can be laid throughout the year - even in winter. In fact, laying turf in winter has its advantages, as there are no long periods of hot, dry weather, which require extra maintenance and watering.
Cut to a depth approximately 20mm deep.Our rolls of Turf measure at 300mm x 2000mm each, so are easy to handle and more importantly easy to lay.
When calculating the amount required it's always best to add an extra 10% for wastage.
